Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy my travels as much as I did.
Please don’t hurt your tongue trying to pronounce my last name. If you're going to try, let me be of assistance: it's sounded as Ah-day-joo-yee-bay. I was born and raised in Nigeria and when I was about 11 my family got the opportunity to move to Leeds UK and three years after that we moved to Concord New Hampshire where I started High School and then went on to study Health Care Management and Public Health and also competed as a sprinter on the track and field team at the University of New Hampshire.
Fast-forward to six years, four states and two countries later, I currently work as a Retail Supply Chain Manager working your average 9-5 job and living in Durham NC (all snooze worthy). One boring day laying in my bed in Durham after a bad breakup, I thought to myself; I need more excitement in life, one that isn’t as a result of a troublesome supplier finally delivering a product just in time for an advertised sale. I know hah! And so here we are folks.
You see two years ago I quit my job in NYC for the opportunity to live in the UK for a year while working. It was in this year that my love for traveling blossomed. Even more so, I became more and more excited for solo travels after I ended up in Malta by myself due when my friends had Visa hold ups. Now don’t get me wrong I do enjoy traveling with my friends, but there is something to be said about the freedom and simplicity that comes with traveling alone. In Malta, I discovered that I was able to truly live in the moment, fully engage in the culture through food, music, dance. I was also able to connect with the locals and sought out to understand their lifestyle.
I am thrilled to share my crazy adventures and my thirst for knowledge for the U.S and also the rest of this amazing world with you all, one passport stamp...or not, at a time.
Xx
